Do the math: You never settle for less than the whole if you knew the half.” – Talib Kweli, “Violations,” Gravitas, 2013.
Quotes like these inspire AbOriginal Music rapper and producer, Eclipse‘s, continued evolution – what’slife, after all, if you can’t face, and change, your own reality? With the arrival of his new single, Gentleman, the artiste presents the latest entry in his increasingly impressive catalogue – and announces his arrival as a player in the fast-paced Nigerian music industry.
A witty, braggadocious collection of Eclipse‘s observations on his rise to the mainstream, delivered over an irresistible and insistent baseline, and underpinned by a sample of Fela Anikulapo-Kuti’s classic “I no begentleman” refrain, “Gentleman” is a radio and club-friendly jam guaranteed to get any party started.
Eclipse – an AbOriginal production.
